What they next encounter in a subterranean grotto, and later out in the scorching desert, provide a true test of their survival skills and the power of the last bit of Haktu's blue feather. In addition to learning interesting facts about tarot cards, the history of Southern California, and what lives in the Sonoran Desert, the reader will once again witness the classic battle between good and evil play out as Archibald and Jockabeb continue to mature as young teenagers.

The first three books were great and this one is just as good. The desert is a great setting and the underground living quarters for the old man at Lizard Flats is only one of many weird twists and turns to this really good adventure story for kids in junior high school or a few years older and younger. I don't think many readers will figure out what really happened in the desert. My kids didn't, but I think we will when we read the next book.Product details

We (my children and I) have been watching the website to see when this would be published. We liked the three books we've read and wanted to see if this one would be as good. It is! Fun adventure with lots of twists and turns in the desert, above and below ground. Can't wait to see how the fifth book turns out.
This book is by far the most mysterious and intriguing out of the other previous three. It has descriptive and constantly changing plots and by the end of the book, leaves people wanting to read more.
